WLS Properties Ltd is a local family-ran, building and renovation business based in Whitley Bay. We specialise in the refurbishment and renovation of residential properties and delight in turning disused properties into high quality homes to meet the ever growing demand for housing in North Tyneside.
Our Story
Committed to Excellence
Mother and son duo Lucy and Will Smith are the driving-force behind this innovative business. They have a collective ambition to develop properties within their local area and are committed to ensuring the character, history and quality of their developments is in keeping with the values of the communities of North Tyneside.
10 years of experience as an electrician and builder has afforded Will the opportunity to develop a range of skills across a number of trades. All of which he puts to use as project manager; leading a team of local qualified subcontractors to WLS property’s high quality renovation goals. Lucy has over 12 years’ experience in developing property for the rental market. This has allowed her to develop a great knowledge of the property market and she provides sound financial management to each renovation. This local business prides itself on community spirit; typically on a project up to 10 different local subcontractors are employed from within 10 miles of the build. Materials and supplies are purchased from local merchants and wholesalers; supporting other businesses is a key value of the partnership. These initiatives have created a very loyal team and network who can reliably be drawn upon to support multiple building projects.
Our Services
Development
We have undertaken over 15 different projects since our business was established in 2015. Every property was a creative journey with its own unique challenges; overcoming these has allowed us to develop a unique wealth of experience. We endeavour to use the best materials, fixtures and fittings in all of our renovations, including all the luxury features you would find in a new build home.
New Builds
This is a new venture for our Business as we are in the process of building our first new build property. Drawing on all of our renovation and developing experience we are bringing our unique design and building values to a property in Preston Village, North Tyneside. Like all of our developments there will be a emphasis on quality, unique character development and luxury design.
